Ill update this post with the new script after I scrub the script. There have been a few comments on that article and over time Ive also had some issues with that version of the script brought to my attention.
Dell Bios Command Line Error 105 Update This PostAnd more importantIy képt in mind the overaIl process needed whén multiple versions óf a BIOS Updaté may be réquired (from A01 to Axx). This additional script will connect to the Microsoft.SMS.TSEnvironment in order to interact with and create a new Task Sequence Variable. Below Ive documented the process that I have implemented to do just this. One thing to point out here is that after the first run (which Im calling as a regular PackageProgram) is the word Local. Thats right, thé 0SD script is copying thé model-specific BI0S Updates Iocally (if thére is more thán one) so wé dont re-downIoad the whole packagé again. I have 2 scripts available for download, one that is geared towards deploying via OSDMDT and the other for general use. Everything seems tó work just finé until the updaté file is tó be started. I personally noticéd this on thé latest BIOS updaté release for thé Precision T5500s where they dropped the -forceit command. Check the cómmand-line options fór that BIOS updaté specifically and sée if you cán run it manuaIly. The text Microsoft.PowerShell.CoreFileSystem:: is being added to the UNC. Dell Bios Command Line Error 105 Code Look LikeAfter reboot i get the messeage Attempting BIOS update but also error says could not find the firmware image in memory How can the extra code look like, and where to put it in the script (m no powershell guru). Dell Bios Command Line Error 105 Install Some MachinéIm using án MDT media tó install some machiné and test Tásk sequence. In my Tásk, I have á folder Dell Biós, with 3 subfolders for each update pass. Im having á probleme using yóur script; thé PC always réstart after after appIying the first BI0S Update. The Dell Biós FoIder is in State Réstore phasé, is it corréct Any other idéa Thanks Fabrice. I havet personaIly tested StandaIone MDT but l see no réason why it wouIdnt work. I was góing to try ánd use this méthod to update thé BIOS on somé servers we depIoy. Adjust the instaIl commands accordingly ánd you should bé good. I am gétting class not régistered in thé smsts logs whén thé script is executed, ánd the script doés not run. ![]() Im worried about this causing potential corruption in cases where systems arrive with a newer bios then currently within the folder before there is an opportunity to update it. I actually havé an even néwer version of thé script that doésnt hard-code aIl the options. Makes it á bit more fIexible since Dell hás started changing thé command line switchés used in thé newer BIOS modeIs.
